Announcement from Ba Zan! (February 13, the Day of Honor)
Hello Buddies! It has been a while that I couldn’t write new post. I am ashamed that I couldn’t contribute any post for 60th Anniversary of Burma’s Independence.
February always brings greater good, I suppose. Now, people are getting busier as the Valentine’s Day is getting closer. Yangon’s most renowned cafés, shopping centers and other places with mass attractions are starting to excite Burma’s urban youth population. What a lovely day, February 14 is!!! Sadly, the day before February 14 is slipped into oblivion.
General Aung San, Father of Modern Burma, Founder of the Army, Architect of the Union and Martyr of the Nation, was born on February 13, 1915. Htein Lin as a birth name, a leader-to-be child was fathered by U Hpa and mothered by Daw Suu.
We, so-called new generations of Burma, should never forget such a heroic person of our country. At least, we should memorize his birthday. I will, therefore, post some articles, ripped from Takkatho Nay Win’s “General Aung San: The Architect”, on my blog. I hope we, Burmese, still have some faith in his honor.
In memory of our Father,
Ba Zan Lin
